ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 7-12-1-0 record (5-9-1-0 at home, 2-3-0-0 on the road, 1-1-0 in overtime) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...For the second time this season the ICE have won three games in a row...This week KOOTENAY will travel to the US DIVISION (SEATTLE - November 21, PORTLAND - November 23, and EVERETT - November 24) before returning home to host EDMONTON (November 28).

EAST KOOTENAY FOUNDATION FOR HEALTH STICKS: The KOOTENAY ICE are teaming up with the EAST KOOTENAY FOUNDATION FOR HEALTH to raise money for hospital equipment...On Wednesday, November 28th when the ICE host the EDMONTON OIL KINGS the team will be playing with ice cube sticks that will be auctioned off behind Section U during the game...The winning bids will have the opportunity to meet the player and have their picture taken following the game.
DID YOU KNOW: AUSTIN VETTERL recorded his first goal with the ICE against BRANDON on November 16...MACKENZIE SKAPSKI recorded his third career shutout against the WHEAT KINGS on November 17 (31 saves)...SKAPSKI has been nominated for CHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK by the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE...COLLIN SHIRLEY is tied for sixth in the LEAGUE for scoring the first goal of the game with three.
SCORING STREAKS: SAM REINHART (3-3-6), JAEDON DESCHENEAU (1-5-6), and JAGGER DIRK (0-3-3) have all recorded at least a point in their last three games.
INJURIES: BROCK MONTGOMERY and SPENCER WAND will both be out of the ICE line up with upper body injuries for one to two weeks.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 20 games of the 2011-2012 season the ICE were 13-4-1-2, after 21 ames were 13-5-1-2 and after 22 games 14-5-1-2.
