ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 33-30-2-0 record (20-13-1-0 at home, 13-17-1-0 on the road, 3-2 in overtime, 4-0 in shootouts) and in eighth place and final playoff spot in the EASTERN CONFERENCE...KOOTENAY has won 23 of their last 30 games and have points in 24 of 31 games since Christmas (23-7-1-0 record)...The ICE tied a team record for consecutive wins at home with 12 (December 31 – February 23 -previous record set during the 2006-2007 season)...KOOTENAY has seven regular season games remaining (two at home, five on the road) and five of those games are against the CENTRAL DIVISION.

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY is second in the WHL in winning percentage (.889) in overtime and shootout games...RYAN MCGILL has won 207 regular season games with the ICE (CORY CLOUSTON - 209)...MACKENZIE SKAPSKI, who recorded his seventh shutout of the season February 27th in MEDICINE HAT (42 Saves), is fourth in franchise history for career shutouts with seven (TAYLOR DAKERS - 18, JEFF GLASS - 17, NATHAN LIEUWEN – 9)…SKAPSKI set a franchise record for appearances by a goaltender with 58 on March 1st against RED DEER (57 was the old record – CLAYTON POOL – 1998-99, JEFF GLASS – 2003-04, NATHAN LIEUWEN – 2011-12)…SAM REINHART (2-10-12) had his franchise tying eight consecutive games with an assist streak end February 27th against the TIGERS (JOHN NEGRIN - 0-10-10 - November 18 – December 4, 2007)…JOEY LEACH, who has played in 267 WHL career games, recorded his 100th WHL assist on March 1st against the REBELS...LEACH leads KOOTENAY as the all time franchise leader in plus/minus with a plus 96...BROCK MONTGOMERY is tied for second in the WHL in power play goals with 17…The ICE are 8-1-1-0 when leading after the second period on the road, 3-15-0-0 when losing and 2-1-0-0 when tied...KOOTENAY is 7-3-0-0 when scoring the first goal on the road and 6-14-1-0 when their opponent scores first...The ICE are 15-14-0-0 against the CENTRAL DIVISION this season (11-4-0-0 at home, 4-10-0-0 on the road, 1-0 in overtime, 1-0 in shootouts)...KOOTENAY is 15-7-2-0 against the EAST DIVISION this season (7-4-1-0 at home, 8-3-1-0 on the road, 2-1 in overtime, 3-0 in shootouts)...The ICE are 1-4-0-0 against the BC DIVISION this season (1-4-0-0 at home)...KOOTENAY is 2-5-0-0 against the US DIVISION this season (1-1-0-0 at home, 1-4-0-0 on the road).

INJURY: ZACH MCPHEE will be out of the ICE line up one to two weeks with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 65 games of the 2011-2012 season the ICE were 35-22-4-4, after 66 games were 35-23-4-4 and after 67 games were 36-23-4-4.
