Cranbrook, BC – Regina Pats goalie Teagan Sacher made 28 saves for his 1st career shutout in a 3-0 win over the Kootenay ICE in WHL action on Wednesday night.
Lane Scheidl had 2 goals and Colten Mayor had 1 goal and 1 assist.
The ICE (4-8-0-0) lost defenseman Spencer Wand early in the game with a game misconduct for fighting the Pats Trent Ouellette who only received a minor penalty.
The Pats (6-7-1-0) opened the scoring in the first period as they had a 3-minute major power-play and Lane Scheidl skated through the middle slot and scored with a backhand shot high on the glove side.
Early in the second period the Pats made it 2-0 off a face-off win and Colten Mayor was alone in front of the net and scored with a high backhand.
