Colby Cave and Jake DeBrusk each put up three points, and Landon Bow recorded a 26-save shutout as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the Kootenay ICE 5-0 Friday.
DeBrusk scored twice in the opening frame, including the game-winner at the 7:38 mark of the first period as the Broncos handed Kootenay its third setback in as many nights in the province of Saskatchewan.
Jay Merkley, Andreas Schumacher and Tanner LeSann also scored for Swift Current.
Keelan Williams made 22 saves in the ICE goal before being replaced by Wyatt Hoflin in the third period.
Hoflin and forward Ryan Chynoweth both made their 50th appearances in an ICE uniform Friday.
UP NEXT: the ICE return home for a pair of games next weekend, beginning Friday, October 17 against the Regina Pats. Game time is 7:00 pm at Western Financial Place.
