ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 1-2-0-0 record (0-0-0-0 at home, 1-2-0-0 on the road) and tied for fourth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...The ICE will play four of its next five games away from home.

HOME OPENER: The 2014-15 home opener is set for Friday, October 3 vs. SPOKANE and tickets are now available at the ICE office...Fans are invited to a pre-game Tailgate Party hosted by COYOTE JACK'S BAR & GRILL and the KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB outside WESTERN FINANCIAL PLACE from 4:30 - 6:30 pm...Food and beverages will be supplied by COYOTE JACK'S BAR & GRILL and there will be live entertainment too!

SEASON TICKETS: Season Tickets are available to purchase until Monday, October 6 at 5:00 pm…Season Ticket holders may now collect ticket packages at the ICE office from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (open during lunch hour this week)...Individual game tickets for the remainder of the 2014-15 regular season will go on sale on Wednesday, October 8.

SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS: SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS are now available to purchase at the ICE Office…You get seven game certificates to use at your convenience – total flexibility...The first 100 FLEX PAKS purchased will include a golf voucher for WILDSTONE GOLF COURSE…Adult FLEX PAKS are $140.00, Seniors $112.00, Students $98.00 and Youth $70.00.

ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is currently carrying 23 players (two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 13 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of two 1994-born players, eight 1995-born players, five 1996-born players, five 1997-born players, and three 1998-born players...KOOTENAY has eight first-year players on its roster.

DID YOU KNOW: Goaltender WYATT HOFLIN recorded his 1,000th career WHL save September 27 at RED DEER...Defenseman DYLAN OVERDYK leads all ICE skaters in plus / minus through three games with a plus-two rating...KOOTENAY is averaging the third fewest Penalty Minutes per game in the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE (12.7 mins/game).

TRANSACTIONS / INJURY: The ICE have re-assigned Forward SHANE ALLAN (December 19, 1997) to the CALGARY ROYALS of the ALBERTA MIDGET HOCKEY LEAGUE and Defenseman MARK O'SHAUGHNESSY (July 31, 1997) to the VERNON VIPERS of the BRITISH COLUMBIA HOCKEY LEAGUE...Forward ALEXANDER CHIRVA (March 25, 1996) has been released...Defenseman RINAT VALIEV will be out of the ICE line up two to four weeks with a lower body injury.

DRAFTED PLAYERS: RINAT VALIEV – Toronto Maple Leafs (3rd Round, 2014 NHL Draft), JAEDON DESCHENEAU – St. Louis Blues (5th Round, 2014 NHL Draft), TANNER FAITH – Minnesota Wild (5th Round, 2014 NHL Draft).
