ICE Weekly Release

ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 27-24-0-1 record (17-9-0-0 at home, 10-15-0-1 on the road, 6-0 in overtime, 1-1 in shootouts) and in fourth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION and seventh place in the new playoff wildcard standings...KOOTENAY, who has won five of the past seven games, will continue a season-high seven game home stand February 6 and 7 versus BRANDON.

FAMILY SUNDAYS: Bring the whole family to a KOOTENAY ICE game with our FAMILY SUNDAY offer...At each Sunday regular season home game, fans can purchase four tickets, four regular soft drinks, and four concession food items (hot dog, pizza slice or small popcorn) for $52.00...Children under 12 can also eat for free from the COYOTE JACK'S RESTAURANT Kid's Menu on FAMILY SUNDAYS when dining with parents...The final FAMILY SUNDAY of the season is February 15 when the ICE host SASKATOON... FAN BUS SOLD OUT: The FAN BUS to SPOKANE February 21 organized by the KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB is now sold out...Visit the FAN CLUB TABLE behind Section "C" at ICE home games for information on future trips this season.

PASTA & CHICKEN DINNER: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB is hosting a PASTA AND CHICKEN BUFFET Sunday, March 8 at the HERITAGE INN...The dinner will be attended by the KOOTENAY ICE PLAYERS and will start with cocktails at 4:30 pm...Tickets are $30.00 and are available during home games at the FAN CLUB TABLE or by calling KELLY at 250-426-3638 or CAROLIN at 250-417-6593.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE recorded the 700th win in club history dating back to the inaugural 1996-97 season in EDMONTON on January 30 versus REGINA...The club's all-time record now stands at 700-517-131...Forward TIM BOZON became the fourth ICE player to reach 20 goals this season (JAEDON DESCHENEAU, LUKE PHILP, LEVI CABLE) with his tally January 28 at LETHBRIDGE...BOZON is one assist away from 150 in his WHL career…Forward SAM REINHART is five points short of 300 career points...DESCHENEAU is one point shy of 250 career points, and two assists short of 150 career helpers...CABLE is three appearances away from 250 career games played...Forward RYAN CHYNOWETH made his 200th career appearance January 30 against the PATS...KOOTENAY is one of three teams (PORTLAND, TRI-CITY) who remain undefeated in four on four overtime this season.

INJURY: Defenseman TANNER FAITH will be out of the ICE lineup four to six months with an upper body injury...Forward JON MARTIN will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup day to day with an illness.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 52 games of the 2013-14 season the ICE were 27-21-2-2, after 53 games 28-21-2-2 and after 54 games 29-21-2-2.
