The current Oil Kings team is the 4th WHL franchise for the city of Edmonton. Where did the 3 other teams move to?
ANSWER – 1976 Oil Kings moved to become the Portland Winterhawks. (still active) 1979 Oil Kings moved to become the Great Falls Americans for one season, then to become the Spokane Flyers for 2 years before folding. 1998 ICE moved to Cranbrook to be the Kootenay ICE.
