ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 15-12-2-0 record (9-8-0-0 at home, 6-4-2-0 on the road, 0-2 in overtime, 2-0 in shootouts) and in sixth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE...This week the ICE are embarking on their five game BC DIVISION road trip starting in VICTORIA (December 3), VANCOUVER (December 4), KAMLOOPS (December 6), KELOWNA (December 7) and PRINCE GEORGE (December 10).

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY is eighth in the WHL in overall power play (23.7%)...The ICE are sixth in the LEAGUE in overall penalty killing (82.7%)…SAM REINHART has been named to CANADA'S NATIONAL JUNIOR TEAM SELECTION CAMP beginning December 12 in ONTARIO...TROY MURRAY has been named to TEAM WEST for the 2014 WORLD U-17 HOCKEY CHALLENGE in CAPE BRETON, NOVA SCOTIA (December 28 – January 5)...JAEDON DESCHENEAU, who is tied for sixth in the WHL in goals scored with 19, is ninth in the League in points with 39 (19-20-39)...SAM REINHART, who is fifth in the WHL in points with 46 (16-30-46), is fourth in the League in assists with 30...REINHART needs to record five more points to reach 200 in his WHL career.

SCORING STREAKS: SAM REINHART (7-5-12) has recorded at least a point in his last seven games...JAEDON DESCHENEAU (1-4-5) has recorded at least a point in his last three games.

TRANSACTION / INJURY: KOOTENAY has traded Defenseman JEFF HUBIC to TRI-CITY in exchange for a seventh round draft pick in the 2014 WHL BANTAM DRAFT on November 27...Forward KYLE O'CONNOR will be out of the ICE line up one week with a lower body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 29 games of the 2012-2013 season the ICE were 9-19-1-0, after 30 games were 9-20-1-0 and after 31 games were 10-20-1-0.
