ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 16-15-2-0 record (9-8-0-0 at home, 7-7-2-0 on the road, 0-2 in overtime, 2-0 in shootouts) and tied for seventh place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE...This week the ICE will conclude their BC DIVISION road trip in PRINCE GEORGE before returning home to host three games prior to breaking for Christmas (December 19-26).

A&W TOQUE/MITTEN/BEAR TOSS: When the ICE host the RED DEER REBELS on December 13 it will be A&W TOQUE/MITTEN/BEAR TOSS NIGHT...Fans in attendance are encouraged to bring new and unused winter wear, clothing and teddy bears to launch onto the ice after KOOTENAY scores their first goal.
GIFT CARDS: Get the gift that keeps on giving…The KOOTENAY ICE now have reusable and reloadable GIFT CARDS for any dollar amount…Your special someone can use the gift card to buy individual game tickets or FLEX PAKS…GIFT CARDS are available at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY is 11-8-1-0 when outshooting their opponent, 4-6-1-0 when being outshot and 1-1-0-0 when shots are tied…The ICE are 12-3-1-0 when they score the first goal of the game and 4-12-1-0 when their opponent scores first…KOOTENAY is seventh in the WHL in overall power play (24.2%)...The ICE are eighth in the LEAGUE in overall penalty killing (79.8%)…TROY MURRAY has been named to TEAM WEST for the 2014 WORLD U-17 HOCKEY CHALLENGE in CAPE BRETON, NOVA SCOTIA (December 28 – January 5)... JAEDON DESCHENEAU, who is sixth in the WHL in goals scored with 21, is tied for ninth in the League in points with 42 (21-21-42)…DESCHENEAU has played in 155 WHL career games in KOOTENAY...SAM REINHART, who is fifth in the WHL in points with 50 (16-34-50), is tied for second in the League in assists with 34...REINHART needs to record one more point to reach 200 in his WHL career...JAGGER DIRK, who has played in 274 WHL career games with the ICE, needs to record seven more assists to reach 100 in his WHL career…TIM BOZON has played in 173 WHL career games (KAMLOOPS / KOOTENAY).

TRANSACTION / INJURIES: Forward SAM REINHART will be attending the TEAM CANADA SELECTION CAMP in ETOBICOKE, ONTARIO starting December 12...Defenseman TANNER FAITH will be out of the ICE line up indefinitely with an upper body injury...Forward RYAN CHYNOWETH (upper body) and Defenseman RINAT VALIEV (lower body) will be out of the KOOTENAY line up one to two weeks...Forward KYLE O'CONNOR will be out of the ICE line up day to day with a lower body injury.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 33 games of the 2012-2013 season the ICE 10-22-1-0, after 34 games were 10-23-1-0 and after 35 games were 10-24-1-0.
