WHL Notes August 10

Prince Albert traded 20 year-old defenceman Brendon Wall to Kelowna for a conditional 7th round selection in the 2011 Western Hockey League bantam draft.
Wall was acquired by the Raiders on October 5, 2009 along with defenceman Tyler
Yaworski from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for goaltender Steven Stanford. Wall
appeared in 62 games for the Raiders with 2 goals and 10 assists along with 36 minutes in penalties.
The move leaves the Raiders with four 20 year-olds: forwards Colin Reddin and Igor Revenko and defencemen Nathan Deck and Jordan Rowley.

Moose Jaw traded 19 year old defensemen Kevin Smith to Kelowna for defensemen Collin Bowman. Bowman is from Littleton, Colorado and had 20 points in the regular season and 5 points in the 2010 playoffs.
Kevin Smith was drafted by the Warriors in 2006 in the 2nd round, 38th overall The North Vancouver native had 43 points in his Warriors career.

Spokane finalized their hockey staff as they announced the re-signing of Assistant Coach Jon Klemm and Director of Player Personnel Chris Moulton.
The Chiefs have also announced that Goaltending Coach Denis Sproxton, Athletic Therapist/Strength Coach Todd Daniels and Equipment Manager Kacee Coberly will return for the 2010-11 season.
Klemm returns to the staff for his second season as Assistant Coach, joining the newly appointed Nachbaur on the Chiefs bench. Klemm was named to the Top 25 Chiefs in 25 years in February due his efforts as a player. The former defenseman was the Chiefs captain during their first Memorial Cup championship in 1991 and went on to a 17-year pro career that included a pair of Stanley Cup Championships with the Colorado Avalanche (1996, 2001).
Klemm signed a two-year deal.
Moulton has signed a three-year deal. The Fernie, BC native originally joined the organization in June, 2005.
