ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE finished the 2010-2011 regular season 46-21-1-4 (26-8-1-1 at home, 20-13-0-3 on the road, 1-1 in overtime, 4-4 in shootouts) and in fourth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and sixth in the WHL…The ICE have clinched a playoff spot for the 13th consecutive season and has tied CALGARY for the longest active streak in the WHL…KOOTENAY will be facing the MOOSE JAW WARRIORS in the playoffs for the second time in franchise history…In 2001, the ICE defeated MOOSE JAW in four games in the first round of the post season.

PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE: The ICE have a career playoff record of 69-56 (38-24 at home, 31-32 on the road, 18-10 in overtime)…KOOTENAY has 192 games of playoff experience which is the seventh most of the teams who qualified for the post season…KEVIN KING (27), CODY EAKIN (23) and BRAYDEN MCNABB (20) lead the ICE in games played in the playoffs.

EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTER FINAL: Game One of the EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTER FINAL vs. MOOSE JAW presented by KAL-TIRE and HUSKY / MOHAWK, will be played at home on Friday, March 25th and Game Two on Saturday, March 26th…The puck will drop for both games at 7:00 pm…Individual game tickets are now available at the KOOTENAY ICE Office.

RELAY FOR LIFE NIGHT: When the ICE host the MOOSE JAW WARRIORS on March 25th it will be RELAY FOR LIFE Night...Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to learn more about RELAY FOR LIFE and how to get involved.

WILDSTONE GOLF COURSE NIGHT: When KOOTENAY hosts the WARRIORS on March 26th it will be WILDSTONE GOLF COURSE NIGHT…Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win a tee time on the opening day of WILDSTONE GOLF COURSE.

TAILGATE PARTY: On Saturday, March 26th when the ICE host MOOSE JAW the KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB will be hosting a TAILGATE PARTY…The party will start at 5:00 pm and run till 6:30pm…There will be a BBQ, adult beverages, door prizes and more.

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY finished the regular season with 46 wins which is the third highest in franchise history (49 – 2006-2007, 47 – 2004-2005)…The ICE finished the regular season with 20 road wins which is a tie for fifth most in franchise history (22 – 2009-2010 and 2000-2001, 21 – 2007-2008 and 2006-2007, 20 – 2004-2005 and 2002-2003)…KOOTENAY has won 40+ games for the eighth time in franchise history and sixth in the last seven years…The ICE finished the 2010-2011 regular season with an above .500 record for the 12th consecutive season, which is the longest active streak in the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE…KOOTENAY finished the regular season with a .500 or better road record for the tenth time in the last 12 years…The ICE lost 146 man games to injuries this season…KOOTENAY was 2-2-0-0 against MOOSE JAW in the regular season (2-0-0-0 at home, 0-2-0-0 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 0-0 in shootouts)…MATT FRASER (2-3-5), JOE ANTILLA (2-3-5) and ELGIN PEARCE (3-1-4) led KOOTENAY in scoring against MOOSE JAW in the season series while DYLAN HOOD (3-3-6) and SPENCER EDWARDS (3-3-6) led the WARRIORS.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 72 games of the 2009-2010 season the ICE were 43-24-3-2.
