The Kootenay ICE will host Spokane tonight in the first of five meetings between the clubs this season.
Last year the Chiefs won the season series 3-2 with one win in a shootout.
The ICE lost 4-2 in Red Deer last night and the Chiefs won 5-1 in Kelowna on Tuesday.
The ICE are 4th in the East and the Chiefs are 5th in the West.
This is the last game in the month of December for the ICE who have a record of 3-6-0-0.
The last time the ICE were under .500 during a month was October 2009 4-9-0-0. Six weeks later they started a Franchise Record 14 game winning streak.
John Neibrandt and Luke Paulsen are questionable after leaving the game in Red Deer last night with injuries.
