ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 30-21-2-2 record (18-10-0-2 at home, 12-11-2-0 on the road, 0-2 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts) and in fifth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE...KOOTENAY has won a season high five consecutive games and are 9-1-0-0 in their last ten games...The ICE will play 11 of their remaining 17 regular season games on the road.

PASTA & CHICKEN BUFFET: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB is hosting a PASTA AND CHICKEN BUFFET on Sunday, March 9 at the HERITAGE INN...The dinner will be attended by the KOOTENAY ICE PLAYERS and will start with cocktails at 4:30 pm...Tickets are $30.00 and are available during home games at the FAN CLUB TABLE or by calling KELLY at 250-426-3638 or CAROLIN at 250-417-6593.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE are 13-3-0-0 against the EAST DIVISION this season (10-1-0-0 at home, 3-2-0-0 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 1-0 in shootouts)...KOOTENAY is third in the WHL in overall power play (24.8%)...The ICE are 13th in the LEAGUE in overall penalty killing (78.0%)…SAM REINHART has been named DENNY'S WHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK for the week of February 3 - 9 (3-8-11 in three game)..REINHART, who is second in the WHL in assists with 49, is tied for fourth in the LEAGUE in points with 76 (27-49-76)…TIM BOZON, who recorded his third career hat trick on February 7 in LETHBRIDGE, needs to record two more goals to reach 100 in his WHL career (KAMLOOPS / KOOTENAY)…JAEDON DESCHENEAU, who recorded his second career hat trick against SASKATOON on February 4, recorded his 100th WHL career assist on February 8 against the HURRICANES…DESCHENEAU, who is sixth in the WHL in goals scored with 35, is tied for fourth in the League in points with 76 (35-41-76)...MACKENZIE SKAPSKI, who is tied for seventh in the League in save percentage (.917), is fifth in franchise history for wins by a goaltender with 66 (NATHAN LIEUWEN - 85, TAYLOR DAKERS - 82, JEFF GLASS - 75, DAN BLACKBURN - 67)...JAGGER DIRK has played in 293 WHL career games.

SCORING STREAKS: SAM REINHART (11-19-30) has recorded at least a point in the last 13 games he has played in…JAEDON DESCHENEAU (5-8-13) has recorded at least two points in each of his last four games.

INJURIES: Forward KYLE O'CONNOR will be out of the ICE line up one to two weeks with a lower body injury...Defenseman TANNER FAITH will be out of the KOOTENAY line up four to six months with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 55 games of the 2012-2013 season the ICE were 26-27-2-0, after 56 games were 26-28-2-0 and after 57 games were 26-29-2-0.
