ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 2-3-0-0 record (1-0-0-0 at home, 1-3-0-0 on the road, 1-0-0 in overtime) and in fifth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...The ICE will play its next three games away from home, beginning October 8 at REGINA...KOOTENAY will return to home ice Friday, October 17 for a return engagement against the PATS.

DID YOU KNOW: Forward VINCE LOSCHIAVO scored his first career WHL goal October 4 at CALGARY...Forward RIVER BEATTIE collected his first career point (assist) October 4 against the HITMEN...Forward JAEDON DESCHENEAU has recorded five game-winning goals in the last 16 games he has played...DESCHENEAU is also four appearances shy of 200 career WHL regular season games played...Forward LUKE PHILP recorded his fifth career two-goal game October 4 at CALGARY...Defenseman TYLER KING matched a career high with three points in one game (0-3-3) October 4 versus the HITMEN.

INJURIES: Forward JON MARTIN will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup one week with an upper body injury...Defenseman RINAT VALIEV will be out of the ICE line up one to three weeks with a lower body injury.
