ICE Weekly Report

ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 3-11-0-0 record (2-2-0-0 at home, 1-9-0-0 on the road, 1-0-0 in overtime) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...After playing ten of its first 14 games away from home, KOOTENAY begins a six-game home stand October 28 versus PRINCE ALBERT.

ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is currently carrying 24 players (two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 14 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of three 1994-born players, eight 1995-born players, five 1996-born players, five 1997-born players, and three 1998-born players...KOOTENAY has eight first-year players on its roster.

DID YOU KNOW: Forward MATT ALFARO recorded his first career multi-goal game (two goals) October 25 at SPOKANE...Forward TIM BOZON and Defenseman RINAT VALIEV both made their 2014-15 season debuts October 24 versus CALGARY...Forward JAEDON DESCHENEAU became the 13th ICE player to record 200 career regular season points October 22 at SASKATOON...Forward RIVER BEATTIE scored his first career WHL goal October 21 at PRINCE ALBERT...Former KOOTENAY Forward SAM REINHART (BUFFALO SABRES) collected his first career NHL point (assist) October 25 at SAN JOSE...Former ICE Goaltender MACKENZIE SKAPSKI (HARTFORD WOLF PACK) posted a shutout (16 saves) in his first career AHL start October 26 against NORFOLK.

INJURIES: Forward TIM BOZON will be out of the ICE lineup day to day with a lower body injury...Forward JON MARTIN will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup one week with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 14 games of the 2013-14 season the ICE were 6-6-2-0, after 15 games 7-6-2-0 and after 16 games 8-6-2-0.
