ICE Weekly Report

ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 13-15-0-0 record (8-5-0-0 at home, 5-10-0-0 on the road, 4-0 in overtime, 1-0 in shootouts) and in fifth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...KOOTENAY, who recorded a 10-2-0-0 record in the month of November, will host SPOKANE December 5 before away matchups with the CHIEFS December 6 and TRI-CITY December 7.

A&W TEDDY BEAR TOSS: The A&W TEDDY BEAR TOSS NIGHT will take place December 5 when the ICE host the SPOKANE CHIEFS...Fans in attendance are encouraged to bring new and unused toques, mittens and teddy bears to launch onto the ice after KOOTENAY scores their first goal.

ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is currently carrying 22 players (two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of three 1994-born players, nine 1995-born players, three 1996-born players, five 1997-born players, and two 1998-born players...KOOTENAY has seven first-year players on its roster.

DID YOU KNOW: Forward SAM REINHART has been named to the TEAM CANADA Selection Camp roster for the 2015 WORLD JUNIOR HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS in TORONTO and MONTREAL...REINHART is one of 14 WHL players on the 29-player roster...Defenseman RINAT VALIEV has also been named to the TEAM RUSSIA Selection Camp roster for the WORLD JUNIORS...Forward TIM BOZON recorded his 250th career WHL point November 30 at EVERETT...Forward LUKE PHILP registered his 150th career WHL point November 29 at SEATTLE...KOOTENAY led all WHL teams in points during the month of November with 20 (10-2-0-0)...The ICE have scored a power-play goal in eight consecutive games...KOOTENAY is one of five WHL teams (PRINCE ALBERT, PRINCE GEORGE, TRI-CITY and VANCOUVER) who remain undefeated in overtime and in shootouts this season.

SCORING STREAKS: SAM REINHART has scored at least one point in each of his 11 games with the ICE this season (6-17-23)...JAEDON DESCHENEAU has recorded points in his past ten games (7-10-17)...LUKE PHILP has registered points in his last five games (2-6-8).

TRANSACTION / INJURY: Forward KYLE O'CONNOR has retired from hockey to pursue educational opportunities...Defenseman DYLAN OVERDYK will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup indefinitely with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 28 games of the 2013-14 season the ICE were 15-11-2-0, after 29 games 15-12-2-0 and after 30 games 15-13-2-0.
