ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 37-17-3-2 record (19-7-2-1 at home, 18-10-1-1 on the road, 4-3 in overtime, 4-2 in shootouts) and in fourth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and tied for sixth place overall in the WHL…KOOTENAY has tied a franchise record for the most consecutive home games with a point at 12 (11-0-1 record – December 15, 2009 – February 14, 2010)…The ICE will finish the 2009-2010 regular season with an above .500 record for the 11th consecutive season, which is the longest active streak in the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE…KOOTENAY will finish the regular season with a .500 or better road record for the ninth time in the last 11 seasons…The ICE are 32-6-3-2 since October 30th.

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY is 27-5-3-2 when they score the first goal of the game and 10-12-0-0 when their opponent scores first…DUSTIN SYLVESTER, who is tied for third in League scoring (32-50-82), is third in franchise history for goals with 108 (108-132-240, NIGEL DAWES – 159 and JARRET STOLL - 124)…SYLVESTER is tied for second in the WHL for game winning goals with eight…BRAYDEN MCNABB (15-36-51), who needs two more points to reach 100 in his WHL career, is tied for fifth in the WHL for points by a defenseman…MATT FRASER needs five more goals to reach 50 in his WHL career…DOMINIK PACOVSKY played in his 100th WHL career game on February 12 against EDMONTON…STEELE BOOMER recorded his 100th WHL career point against the OIL KINGS on February 12.

SCORING STREAK: MAX REINHART (1-4-5) has recorded at least a point in his last four games…DUSTIN SYLVESTER (3-4-7), KEVIN KING (3-2-5), STEELE BOOMER (2-5-7) and MATT FRASER (2-1-3) have each recorded at least a point in their last three games.

INJURY: BROCK MONTGOMERY will be out of the ICE line up three to four weeks with a shoulder injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 59 games of the 2008-2009 season the ICE were 28-23-2-6, after 60 games 28-24-2-6 and after 61 games 28-25-2-6.
