Red Deer 5 Kootenay 1 Game #34

Red Deer, Alb – The Red Deer Rebels scored 5 first period goals in a 5-1 win over the Kootenay ICE in WHL action on Tuesday night.

The Rebels (21-13-2-1) scored 5 first period goals with Rhyse Dieno, Christian Stockl, Wyatt Johnson, Kevin Pochuk and Turner Elson all with even-strength goals.

The ICE (10-23-1-0) changed goalies to start the second period with Mackenzie Skapski replacing Wyatt Hoflin.
Late in the period Jaedon Descheneau fed Eric Benoit in the slot for a one-time shot that beat the goalie on the stick side.

The ICE will host Spokane on December 28th.

The ICE line-up had 3 16-years-olds, 7 17’s, 7 18’s, 3 19’s and zero 20’s.
