Kootenay 4 Edmonton 2 Game #44

ICE forward Jesse Ismond scored his 1st career hat-trick and had a career best 4-point game in a 4-2 win in Edmonton.
Max Reinhart had the other goal.
Christian Magnus had a career game with 3 assists.
It was the 500th career regular season win for the ICE and they did it in the city they started their franchise in 1996.
The ICE have won 10 games in a row and the Franchise record is 11. (done twice ... Dec 28/06-Jan 20/07 & Jan 2-29/05)
Dustin Sylvester's point streak was halted at 9 games.
This was labled the 1st WHL game to start in the morning with an 11:30 start time. Ismond is then the 1st to score a goal in the morning as he opened the scoring at around 11:40am.
Nathan Lieuwen earned his 3rd straight win and is back to .500 (8-8-0-0)
Other ICE players with 3-goal games this season are Sylvester (twice), Matt Fraser and Joe Antilla.
The club will host Spokane on Saturday.
