Kootenay 4 Vancouver 1 Game #23

Vancouver, BC – Kootenay ICE forward Sam Reinhart had 1 goal and 3 assists and Joe Antilla had a Gordie Howe hat-trick in a 4-1 win over the Vancouver Giants in WHL action on Sunday night.

The ICE scored the only goal in the first period with Max Reinhart stepping into a slap shot from the top of the circle that beat the goalie on his stick side.

The ICE took a 2-1 on a powerplay goal as Sam Reinhart’s attempted back door pass to Luke Paulsen is blocked and finds Brock Montgomery alone in front of the net and scores with a forehand spinaround.

In the third period Sam Reinhart picked up a loose puck near the crease and scored with a quick shot.
Spencer Wand earned his 1st WHL point with an assist.
Off a face-off win in the Vancouver zone Joe Antilla was alone in the slot and scored with a wrist shot high on the glove side.
Max Reinhart finished with 1 goal and 2 assists.

The ICE have won 3 straight road games and 5 of the last 6 away from home and are alone in 1st place in the Central Division.

The ICE B.C. Division trip has them in Prince George on Tuesday.
