ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 27-15-4-4 record (14-7-1-2 at home, 13-8-3-2 on the road, 1-4 in overtime, 2-4 in shootouts) and in fifth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and eighth overall in the WHL…The ICE will play seven of their next nine games at home.

PASTA AND CHICKEN BUFFET: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB is hosting a PASTA AND CHICKEN BUFFET on Sunday, February 19 at the HERITAGE INN...The dinner will be attended by the KOOTENAY ICE PLAYERS and will start with cocktails at 4:30 pm...Tickets are $30.00 and are available during home games at the FAN CLUB TABLE or from any FAN CLUB MEMBER.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE need ten more victories to reach 600 wins in franchise history (590-410-121)…KOOTENAY is fifth overall on the power play in the WHL at 23.4%...The ICE are sixth in the LEAGUE in penalty killing at 81.2%...KOOTENAY is 12-1-0-1 when they score the first goal of the game at home and 2-6-1-1 when their opponent scores first...The ICE are 8-5-1-0 when outshooting their opponents at home, 5-2-0-1 when being outshot and 1-0-0-1 when shots are tied...NATHAN LIEUWEN, who is third in the LEAGUE in save percentage (.920), is second in the WHL in goals against average (2.36)...SAM REINHART (20-27-47) has set a franchise record for most goals by a 16-year-old with 20 (DREW CZERWONKA - 16-2-18 - 2008/09) and has also set franchise record for most points by a 16-year-old with 47 (STEVE MCCARTHY - 11-29-40 - 1997/98)...SAM REINHART, who is fourth in the LEAGUE for points by a rookie, recorded his first career hat trick on January 27 against PRINCE ALBERT...JOEY LEACH leads KOOTENAY in plus / minus with a plus 22...JOE ANTILLA recorded his 50th WHL career goal on January 28 in SPOKANE...JAGGER DIRK needs to play in three more games to reach 150 in his WHL career...ERIK BENOIT needs to play in four more games to reach 100 in his WHL career.

INJURIES: Defenseman LUKE PAULSEN will be out of the KOOTENAY line up indefinitely with an upper body injury...Forwards DREW CZERWONKA (upper body) and MAX REINHART (lower body) will both be out of the ICE line up for one week with their injuries.

SCORING STREAKS: ERIK BENOIT (0-3-3) and JOEY LEACH (0-3-3) have each recorded a point in their last three games.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 50 games of the 2010-2011 season the ICE 32-15-1-2, after 51 games 33-15-1-2 and after 52 games 34-15-1-2.
