Cranbrook, BC – The Kootenay ICE scored 1 powerplay goal and 2 shorthanded goals in a 4-1 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers in WHL action on Friday night.
The ICE opened the scoring after as Brayden McNabb from the point fired a wrist shot that beat the goalie on the glove side.
On the powerplay the ICE took a 2-0 lead as Cody Eakin fed Kevin King with a pass as he snuck in from the blueline and scored on a one-timer.
In the 2nd period the ICE scored a shorthanded goal on a 2-on-1 break as Hayden Rintoul sauced a pass to the top of the crease and was redirected by Joe Antilla.
Max Reinhart made the score 4-0 on a shorthanded breakaway and scored with a wrist shot through the legs.
In the 3rd on a delayed penalty the Tigers scored to make the score 4-1. Dylan Busenius’s point shot hit the goal post and went to Linden Vey who had an open net. Vey leads the WHL with 96 points.

In what could be his last game in Cranbrook, Tigers defenseman Jace Coyle left the game in the 2nd period and didnt return. On the post-game show he said he was to evaluated Saturday morning.

Cranbrook, BC -- The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club is pleased to announce that the Jersey off the Back raised $9,055 for the Kootenay ICE Education Fund.
On Friday, February 18th when the ICE hosted the Medicine Hat Tigers, the new game worn RBK third jerseys were auctioned off in a silent auction. Forward Cody Eakin’s game worn jersey brought in the most money at $805.
The jersey winners will receive their jerseys at the conclusion of 2011 playoff season. The Kootenay ICE would like to thank all the fans for their support.
