ICE Trade McKinlay

Cranbrook, BC -- Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club, today announced the club has traded 20-year-old Forward Dylen McKinlay to the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for a conditional fifth round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. The ICE now have four 20-year-old players on their roster (Elgin Pearce, Drew Czerwonka, Brock Montgomery and Joey Leach).
“With us having five 20-year-old players on the roster we knew we had to reduce this number as soon as we could. With the abundance of 1992 born players in the League we wanted to ensure that Dylen had the opportunity to play his final season in the WHL. We would like to thank Dylen for his time with our Hockey Club and wish him all the best in Kelowna,” added Chynoweth
As a result of today's transactions, the ICE are carrying two goaltenders, nine defencemen and 16 forwards (four 1992 born players, three 1993 born players, seven 1994 born players, ten 1995 born players and three 1996 born players).
Season Ticket Holders can pick up their season tickets starting this Saturday at the Pancake Breakfast inside Western Financial Place from 9:00 - 11:00 am. Please remember to bring identification.
The first home action for the ICE will be Home Opener September 28 against the Regina Pats at 7:00 pm. Tickets for the first three regular season games will go on sale Wednesday, September 19th at 9:00 am.
