ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 29-15-4-4 record (16-7-1-2 at home, 13-8-3-2 on the road, 1-4 in overtime, 2-4 in shootouts) and in fifth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and eighth overall in the WHL...The ICE will play five of their next seven games at home.

BMO ULTIMATE FAN: On Thursday, February 9th fans are invited to go to the BANK OF MONTREAL from 6:00-8:00 pm to take part in the BMO ULTIMATE FAN CONTEST...Fans in attendance are encouraged to dress up in their best ICE gear and answer some trivia for a chance to win a trip to the 2012 MASTERCARD MEMORIAL CUP...There will be food, an autograph session and an opportunity for you to get your picture taken with your favorite KOOTENAY ICE player as well.

PASTA AND CHICKEN BUFFET: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB is hosting a PASTA AND CHICKEN BUFFET on Sunday, February 19 at the HERITAGE INN...The dinner will be attended by the KOOTENAY ICE PLAYERS and will start with cocktails at 4:30 pm...Tickets are $30.00 and are available during home games at the FAN CLUB TABLE or from any FAN CLUB MEMBER.

JERSEY OFF THE BACK NIGHT: When the ICE host the SASKATOON BLADES on February 11 it will be JERSEY OFF THE BACK NIGHT...Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to bid on the black RBK Edge Jerseys...The winning bid on each jersey will get to meet the player after the game and will receive their jersey at the conclusion of the playoffs...All money raised will go the KOOTENAY ICE Scholarship Fund.

FAITH NIGHT: When KOOTENAY hosts the SASKATOON BLADES on February 11 it will be FAITH NIGHT...At the end of the game fans will be treated to a concert by OWR and hear a testimonial from NATHAN LIEUWEN.

PLAYOFF PACKAGES AVAILABLE: 2012 playoff packages are now available until Friday, February 24th at the KOOTENAY ICE Office…Eight game ticket packages are $136.00 for Adults, $112.00 for Seniors, $96.00 for Students, and $72.00 for Youth…Fans without season tickets or flex paks that wish to purchase playoff packages can do so with a $100 non-refundable deposit on 2012-2013 season tickets...For more information on playoff packages, phone 250-417-0322.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE need eight more victories to reach 600 wins in franchise history (592-410-121)…KOOTENAY is sixth overall on the power play in the WHL at 22.9%...The ICE are second overall on the power play in the WHL on the road at 25.5%...KOOTENAY is fifth in the LEAGUE in penalty killing at 81.6%...NATHAN LIEUWEN, who is tied for second in the LEAGUE in save percentage (.921), is second in the WHL in goals against average (2.31)...DYLEN MCKINLAY recorded his first WHL career hat trick on February 4 against SPOKANE...SAM REINHART (22-27-49) has set a franchise record for most goals by a 16-year-old with 22 (DREW CZERWONKA - 16-2-18 - 2008/09) and has also set franchise record for most points by a 16-year-old with 49 (STEVE MCCARTHY - 11-29-40 - 1997/98)...SAM REINHART is fourth in the LEAGUE for points by a rookie...JOEY LEACH leads KOOTENAY in plus / minus with a plus 24...JAGGER DIRK needs to play in one more game to reach 150 in his WHL career...ERIK BENOIT needs to play in two more games to reach 100 in his WHL career.

INJURIES: Defenseman LUKE PAULSEN will be out of the KOOTENAY line up for two weeks with an upper body injury...Forward LEVI CABLE will be out of the ICE line up for one week with an upper body injury.

SCORING STREAK: DYLEN MCKINLAY (6-4-10) has recorded at least a point in his last four games.
