Kootenay 2 Calgary 1 Game #51

Cranbrook, BC – Kootenay ICE forward Sam Reinhart scored twice including the game winner with 1 second left in the game in a 2-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen in WHL action on Friday night.

The ICE (28-15-4-4) opened the scoring as Sam Reinhart created a turnover at the Calgary blueline and eventually scored the goal while near the net on rebound of a Dylen McKinlay shot.

The Hitmen (31-18-2-1) tied the game in the third period as Jimmy Bubnick scored his team leading 22nd.
With 1 second left in the game the ICE got the game winning goal as Sam Reinhart's leg deflected a point shot from Jagger Dirk that dribbled across the goal line.
Reinhart leads the club with 22 goals.

Dylen McKinlay extended his point streak to 4 games with 2 assists (3-4-7).
Jagger Dirk has points in 3 straight games (0-4-4).

The ICE and Hitmen will play each other 4 more times this season.
