ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 32-19-4-4 record (18-10-1-2 at home, 14-9-3-2 on the road, 1-4 in overtime, 2-4 in shootouts) and in fifth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and ninth overall in the WHL...This week the ICE will travel to the EAST DIVISION for four games in five nights (February 21-25) before returning home to host EDMONTON (February 29).

PLAYOFF PACKAGES AVAILABLE: 2012 playoff packages are now available until Friday, February 24th at the KOOTENAY ICE Office...Eight game ticket packages are $136.00 for Adults, $112.00 for Seniors, $96.00 for Students, and $72.00 for Youth…Fans without season tickets or flex paks that wish to purchase playoff packages can do so with a $100 non-refundable deposit on 2012-2013 season tickets..The ICE Office will be open over the lunch hour this week to accommodate those wishing to purchase the packages...For more information on playoff packages, phone 250-417-0322.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE need five more victories to reach 600 wins in franchise history (595-414-121)…KOOTENAY is eighth overall on the power play in the WHL at 22.7%...The ICE are fourth in the LEAGUE in penalty killing at 81.6%...KOOTENAY is 2nd overall on the power play on the road in the WHL at 25.7%...The ICE are fifth in the LEAGUE in penalty killing on the road at 81.5%...MAX REINHART (13-21-34) and SAM REINHART (12-22-34) both lead KOOTENAY in scoring one the road with 34 points...NATHAN LIEUWEN, who is third in the LEAGUE in save percentage (.921), is first in the WHL in goals against average (2.32)...LIEUWEN has tied a franchise record for the most regular season games won in his career with 82 (TAYLOR DAKERS - 82 - 2003-2007)...SAM REINHART (23-30-53) has set a franchise record for most goals by a 16-year-old with 23 (DREW CZERWONKA - 16-2-18 - 2008/09) and has also set franchise record for most points by a 16-year-old with 53 (STEVE MCCARTHY - 11-29-40 - 1997/98)...SAM REINHART, who is tied for third in the LEAGUE for points by a rookie, is tied for fourth in the WHL for scoring the first goal of the game with seven...JOEY LEACH, who leads KOOTENAY in plus / minus with a plus 25, needs to play in three more games to reach 200 in his WHL career.

SCORING STREAK: MAX REINHART (3-4-7) has recorded at least a point in his last five games.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 59 games of the 2010-2011 season the ICE were 39-17-1-2, after 60 games 40-17-1-2 and after 61 games 40-17-1-3.

INJURY: DREW CZERWONKA will be out of the KOOTENAY line up four to six weeks with a lower body injury.
