ICE forward Dustin Sylvester scored his 1st 2 PPG of the season but may have played his last game of the season after suffering a broken ankle early in the 3rd period. Sylvester went down awkwardly on his left leg after receiving an innocent looking hit near the boards. Recovery time is usually 3 months.
The ICE are now down to 12 forwards on the roster. The number for the next few games is 11 as Drew Czerwonka and Max Reinhart are the U-17 tournament and 15-year-old Brenden Hurley is with the team.
Defenseman John Negrin tied a Franchise Record for a defenseman with a 5-point game (1g 4a). Tylan Stephens, Matt Fraser and Michael Stickland had the other goals. Sunday the ICE host Red Deer.
