Moose Jaw 7 Kootenay 4

Cranbrook, BC – Moose Jaw got 2 goals from Tomas Karpov & Ian Duval in a 7-4 win over the Kootenay ICE in WHL action on Saturday night.

Warriors opened the scoring on a 2-on-1 break as Brian Sommers received a pass from Cory Scott and deked the goalie with a one-handed backhand.
ICE tied it 1-1 on the power-play as Andrew Bailey one-timed a pass from John Negrin from the bottom of the circle. On Teddy Bear & Mitten Toss Night the game was delayed as fans made their donations.
Warriors regained the lead as Ian Duval scored on rebound with a shot off the goal post high on the glove side.
Warriors made it 3-1 as Tomas Karpov banged in a rebound.
ICE got back within a goal as Tylan Stephens fired a wrist shot on a partial breakaway.
Warriors made it 4-2 while shorthanded as Ian Duval found an open Jason Bast for his 2nd SHG of the season.
ICE got back within a goal as Dustin Sylvester found a loose puck on rebound and pushed in his team leading 18th.
Warriors got their 2-goal lead back as Tomas Karpov poke a loose puck near the goaline.
Joel Broda made it 6-3 on a snap shot high on the stick side.
ICE Matt Fraser scored on the power-play after finding a loose puck in the slot.
Warriors ended the night with a shorthanded goal into an empty net from Duval.

The ICE will host Medicine Hat on Wednesday.
