ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 15-4-0-2 record (8-2-0-1 at home, 7-2-0-1 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 2-2 in shootouts) and are first place in the CENTRAL DIVISION and second in the WHL…KOOTENAY is ranked number eight in the BMO CHL MASTERCARD TOP 10 RANKINGS for the week of November 8…This week the ICE will play two games at home before embarking on a five game road trip (November 23 – December 1).

SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS: The sale of SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS continues…You get seven game certificates to use at your convenience – total flexibility…SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS are available in Adult, Senior, Student and Youth packages. Adults are $119.00, Seniors $91.00, Students $77.00 and Youth $63.00…On each package you save $3.00 per game over the walk-up ticket prices.

SAVE ON FOODS: The 2010-2011 SAVE ON FOODS VOUCHERS are now available…Customers can purchase the ticket vouchers at the CRANBROOK SAVE ON FOODS location for all remaining KOOTENAY ICE regular season home games…Cardholders can pick them up for $18.00 including HST or for free with the redemption of 8,000 SAVE ON MORE points…Non-Cardholders can get their vouchers for $20.00 including HST.

GROW-VEMBER: For the month of November member of the KOOTENAY ICE will be growing their best facial hair in support of the CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY and MEN’S HEALTH…Fans are encouraged to grow their facial hair along with the team and email your best looks throughout the month to growvember@gmail.com…The ICE will have their facial hair shaved off at center ice following the game on November 20th.

WEST COAST AUTHENTIC: When the ICE host SASKATOON (November 19) and PRINCE ALBERT (November 20) it will be WEST COAST AUTHENTIC nights…Fans that attend the game will have the opportunity to purchase NHL Memorabilia that will be priced as low as $50.00.

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY is 15-2-0-2 against the EASTERN CONFERENCE this season (7-1-0-1 at home, 8-1-0-1 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 2-2 in shootouts)…The ICE are 9-0-0-0 when leading after the second period, 2-3-0-1 when losing and 4-1-0-1 when tied…KOOTENAY is 9-1-0-1 when they score the first goal of the game and 6-3-0-1 when their opponent scores first…The ICE are 11-1-0-1 when outshooting their opponent, 3-3-0-1 when being outshot and 1-0-0-0 when shots are tied…NATHAN LIEUWEN is third in the WHL in goals against average (2.25)…BRETT TESKEY recorded his first WHL career shutout on November 13 against EDMONTON (12 saves)…CHRISTIAN MAGNUS played in his 100th game with KOOTENAY on November 14 in CALGARY…MAX REINHART needs to record seven more points to reach 100 in his WHL career…KEVIN KING recorded his 100th career assist on November 11 in CALGARY…BRAYDEN MCNABB will play for TEAM WHL in PRINCE GEORGE on November 18 for the SUBWAY SUPER SERIES, this is the second year in a row that MCNABB has been named to TEAM WHL.

INJURIES: Forward BRENDAN HURLEY will be out of the ICE line up four to six weeks with a hand injury…Defenseman LUKE PAULSEN (shoulder) and Forward ERIK BENOIT (knee) will both be out of the KOOTENAY line up one to two weeks…Defenseman JAMES MARTIN (face) and Forwards DREW CZERWONKA (shoulder) and BROCK MONTGOMERY (concussion) will all be out of the ICE line up day to day.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 21 games of the 2009-2010 season the ICE were 8-12-1-0, after 22 games 9-12-1-0 and after 23 games 10-12-1-0.
