ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 10-12-1-0 record (6-5-1-0 at home, 4-7-0-0 on the road, 3-1 in overtime, 1-0 in shootouts) and are in fifth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION…This week the ICE will host PRINCE ALBERT (November 17), REGINA (November 20) and SWIFT CURRENT (November 21) before traveling to the BC DIVISION (November 27 – December 4).

NEW YEARS EVE WITH THE ICE: Celebrate NEW YEARS EVE with the KOOTENAY ICE…Following the game against REGINA on December 31st the Hockey Club will be hosting a NEW YEARS EVE party at the HERITAGE INN...Tickets are $75.00 per person or $125.00 per couple and will include dinner, DJ, dance, silent auction and door prizes…Tickets are available at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE with all the monies raised going to the EDUCATION FUND.

FAMILY PACKS: The ICE have FAMILY PACKS on sale for Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday home games during the 2009-2010 season excluding Sunday, December 27…FAMILY PACKS are $45.00 and include two adult tickets, two youth or student tickets, a parking voucher, a game program voucher, and two McDonald Happy Meal vouchers…For more information, or to purchase a FAMILY PACK, call or visit the KOOTENAY ICE Office.

MAPLE LEAF FOODS NIGHT: On Tuesday, November 17 when the ICE host PRINCE ALBERT RAIDERS it will be MAPLE LEAF FOODS NIGHT…Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win gift certificates from MAPLE LEAF FOODS with the purchase of a game day program.

DENNY’S RESTAURANT AND EKFH STARLITE CAMPAIGN NIGHT: On Friday, November 20 when KOOTENAY host REGINA it will be DENNY’S RESTAURANT AND EKFH STARLITE CAMPAIGN NIGHT…Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to pick up a DENNY’S stress ball for a donation to the EKFH STARLITE CAMPAIGN and be entered to win a chance to see the ICE play in CALGARY, LETHBRIDGE or CRANBROOK…The winners will receive a one night stay at a SANDMAN HOTEL, DENNY’s coupons and tickets to the game.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE are 8-4-1-0 when they score first and 2-8-0-0 when their opponent scores first…KOOTENAY is 5-0-0-0 when leading after the second period, 1-11-1-0 when losing and 4-1-0-0 when tied...The ICE are 6-5-0-0 when outshooting their opponent, 3-7-1-0 when outshot by their opponent and 1-0-0-0 when shots are tied…BRAYDEN MCNABB has been selected to play on TEAM WHL in the 2009 SUBWAY SUPER SERIES in KELOWNA on November 26…BRENDAN HURLEY recorded his first WHL career goal against TRI-CITY (November 14)…DUSTIN SYLVESTER tied a franchise record for career short handed goals with 11 against LETHBRIDGE on November 15 (DUNCAN MILROY – 11)…STEELE BOOMER has recorded 45 assists in his WHL career…JOE ANTILLA needs to play in two more games to reach 150 WHL career games played.

SCORING STREAK: STEELE BOOMER (2-4-6) has recorded at least a point in his last four games.

INJURIES: Defensemen BRAYDEN MCNABB (knee) and LUKE PAULSEN (ankle) will both be out of the KOOTENAY line up day to day with their injuries.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 22 games of the 2008-2009 season the ICE were 10-7-2-3, after 23 games 10-8-2-3 and after 24 games 10-9-2-3.
