Cranbrook, BC – Kootenay ICE goalie Nathan Lieuwen made 18 saves for his 1st career shutout in a 3-0 win over the Prince Albert Raiders in WHL action on Friday night.
ICE opened the scoring in the 2nd period as Andrew Bailey found a loose puck in the slot and wristed a shot high on the glove side.
ICE forward Michael Cassivi scored his 1st WHL goal to make it 2-0 after finding a loose puck near the crease and backhanded it in.
ICE added an empty netter from Dustin Sylvester.
On Saturday the ICE will host Chilliwack.
