Kootenay 3 Red Deer 2 SO

Cranbrook, BC – The Kootenay ICE extended their winning streak to 4 games with a 3-2 overtime shootout win over the Red Deer Rebels in WHL action on Tuesday night.

ICE opened the scoring on a 5-on-3 power-play as Dustin Sylvester found Andrew Bailey open at the back door. Bailey scored on a one-timer for his team leading 3rd PP goal.
Rebels tied it as Cody Gross came off the corner boards and scored on a sharp angle snap shot.
ICE regained the lead on a 3rd period power-play as Max Reinhart received a behind the net pass from Bailey and lifted a shot from the top of the crease.
Rebels tied it 2-2 as Cass Mappin backhanded a loose puck from in front of the net.
Dominik Pacovsky scored the only goal of the shootout.

The ICE will host Prince George on Friday.
