Kootenay 6 Medicine Hat 4 Game #35

Cranbrook, BC – The Kootenay ICE power-play scored 4 goals in a 6-4 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers in WHL action on Tuesday night.

The ICE got the first goal of the game as Hayden Rintoul’s waist high point shot was deflected in by Kevin King who was cruising through the low slot.
On a power-play the ICE made it 2-0 as James Martin’s point shot was going wide by deflected off Max Reinhart’s leg and into the net.

The teams combined for 7 goals in the 2nd period.
ICE made it 3-0 on a 5-on-3 powerplay as Brayden McNabb got deep in the slot and scored on a wrist shot off the crossbar and into the net.
On another powerplay Matt Fraser deflected a point shot from Petr Senkerik that goes in top corner.
Tigers scored 2 goals 22 seconds apart as Emerson Etem got a defelction on a point shot from Matthew Konan.
Then Joey Frazer, on a delayed penalty, came down the left wing a fired a wrist shot high on the glove side.
Tigers got within a goal as Reid Petryk scored his 1st career goal after finding a loose puck in the slot and turned around with a wrist shot high on the glove side.
ICE scored 2 goals in the final minute as Kevin King had the puck in the deep left corner and fed Steele Boomer who had an open net from 10 feet away.
The ICE scored a powerplay goal as Jesse Ismond got a rebound while skating through the low slot and backhanded into an open net.

The only goal in the 3rd period came with the clubs skating 4-on-4 and Joey Frazer on a partial breakaway got his 2nd of the game with a wrist shot high on the glove side. Gui Glasspoole earned his 1st career point in his 3rd career game by assisting on the goal.

The Tigers have only 2 regulation losses in their last 15 games.

ICE lead the season series 2-1.

ICE scratches – Dominic Pacovsky 10th game (ankle 1-3 weeks), Jagger Dirk & Elgin Pearce.

The ICE will visit Lethbridge on Friday and will host the Hurricanes on Saturday.
