Cranbrook, BC – The Kootenay ICE scored 2 power-play goals in a 4-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in WHL action on Friday night.
ICE opened the scoring on a 1st period power-play as Brayden McNabb’s point shot hit a body in the slot and the puck found a wide open Matt Fraser who had a wide open net for his 10th of the season.
The ICE made it 2-0 late on a 2nd period power-play as Dominik Pacovksy’s wrap around attempt was pushed in by Max Reinhart.
ICE made it 3-0 early in the 3rd period on Tylan Stephens backhand wrap around.
Warriors defenseman Clinton Atkinson scored his 1st career goal on a screened shot.
ICE Jesse Ismond ended the night on a breakaway and scored on a forehand deke.
ICE scratches – Nathan Lieuwen (concussion indefinite, 3rd missed game) Tyler Vanscourt (shoulder 4-6 weeks, 5th missed game, Dustin Sylvester (ankle season ending, 16th missed game), Steele Boomer (concussion, indefinite 13th missed game).
