Spokane 3 Kootenay 2 SO

Cranbrook, BC – Spokane Chiefs beat the Kootenay ICE 3-2 in an overtime shootout in WHL action on Saturday night.

Spokane opened the scoring as Brady Calla had a partial breakaway and scored on a forehand chip shot.
On a 2nd period Spokane 5-on-3 power-play Drayson Bowman scored on a back door play.
ICE made it 2-1 early in the 3rd period as Dominik Pacovsky scored on a wrist shot high on the glove side.
The ICE tied it 2-2 on a rebound goal from Kevin King.
Spokane won the shootout 2-1 as both teams have 4 shooters.

The ICE will visit Calgary on Sunday.

ICE scratches – Nathan Lieuwen (concussion indefinite, 4th missed game) Tyler Vanscourt (shoulder 4-6 weeks, 6th missed game, Dustin Sylvester (ankle season ending, 17th missed game), Steele Boomer (concussion, indefinite 14th missed game).
