Cranbrook, BC – Kootenay ICE Captain Andrew Bailey had 2 goals and 1 assist in a 5-3 win over the Regina Pats in WHL action on Friday night.
ICE opened the scoring as Drew Czerwonka deflected a waist high point shot from Ian Barteaux.
Andrew Bailey made it 2-0 on a shorthanded breakaway and scored with a wrist shot high on glove side.
Pats replaced goalies as Damien Ketlo came in for Linden Rowat.
Pats scored early in the 2nd period on a powerplay goal from Colton Teubert.
ICE made it 3-1 on a powerplay as they found a wide open Kevin King at the bottom of the circle.
On another power-play Tylan Stephens scored on a deflection on a point shot from Hayden Rintoul.
In the 3rd period on a delayed penalty Regina’s Neal Prokop chipped in a loose puck that was free behind the goalie.
Bailey got his 2nd of the game as he stiole puck off Tuebert and scored on a snap shot while on the partial breakaway.
Pats defenseman Matt Delahay made it 5-3 as he snuck in from the blueline and scored at the back door.
The ICE will visit Medicine Hat on Saturday.
