ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 8-3-0-1 record (5-1-0-0 at home, 3-2-0-1 on the road, 1-0-1 in overtime) and in second place in the CENTRAL DIVISION and in sixth place in the WHL…This week the ICE will continue their CENTRAL DIVISION road trip in MEDICINE HAT (October 26) and CALGARY (October 27) before returning home to open a four game homestand starting October 29 vs. BRANDON.
ROSTER UPDATE: Forwards RYAN BLOOM (DRUMHELLER DRAGONS) and JARETT ZENTNER (OKOTOKS OILERS) were both been reassigned to the AJHL on October 18…The ICE have 22 players on their roster, including two goalies, seven defensemen and 13 forwards.
GROW-VEMBER: For the month of November member of the KOOTENAY ICE will be growing their best facial hair in support of the CANADIAN CANCER SOCEITY and MEN’S HEALTH…Fans are encouraged to grow their facial hair along with the team and email your best looks throughout the month to growvember@gmail.com…The ICE will have their facial hair shaved off at center ice following the game on November 20th.

DID YOU KNOW: BRAYDEN MCNABB was selected to play for TEAM WHL in PRINCE GEORGE on November 18 for the SUBWAY SUPER SERIES, this is the second year in a row that MCNABB has been named to TEAM WHL…HAYDEN RINTOUL needs to play in one more game to reach 150 WHL career games played…JESSE ISMOND played in his 150th WHL career game on October 22 against RED DEER.…LUKE PAULSEN recorded his first WHL career goal (shorthanded) on October 19 against EDMONTON…ADAM ROSSIGNOL recorded his first WHL career point with an assist against the OIL KINGS on October 19…MATT FRASER played in his 200th game with KOOTENAY on October 19 against EDMONTON…KEVIN KING has scored 22 power play goals with the ICE in his WHL career.
INJURIES: Forward BRENDAN HURLEY will be out of the ICE line up four to six weeks with a hand injury…Defenseman BRAYDEN MCNABB will be out of the KOOTENAY line up day to day with a shoulder injury.
SCORING STREAK: JESSE ISMOND (3-2-5) has recorded at least a point in his last four games.
